Legacy Media Group was founded in 2004 by Mick and Andrea Maynard with the Aggie owned, independent student-driven publication Maroon Weekly. Maroon Weekly has since become the leading news and entertainment source for Aggie students throughout the entire school year in Bryan/College Station covering Aggie student life from news and views, arts/entertainment and Aggie sports.  In 2008 LMG launched Youth Sporting News, a publication designed to highlight an underserved part of the community, our sporting youth between the ages of 4 to 17 that participate in a variety of athletic endeavors from little league baseball, martial arts and football to ice skating and cheerleading.  Our goal in each of our publications is to be an asset to the community we serve by providing a valuable advertising vehicle not only through our publications but by being involved or sponsoring monthly music and sporting promotions, weekly  street team activities in addition to charitable contributions and activities.
